Bio-based innovation on the pitch - new collaborative artificial turf project🌱⚽

BIQ Materials is pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with Limonta Sport Sweden - a leader in artificial turf and hybrid systems with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation and recyclable technology.

Together we have now started a groundbreaking project in Stenungsund, where Vallens IF's home ground will get a new artificial turf system - built on the materials of the future and the values of the future.

🌿 An artificial turf project with sustainability at the center

This is not just a new artificial turf - it's a new way of thinking about sports facilities. The project combines:

✔️ Bio-based innovation

Our infill material OD200 is biodegradable and designed to deliver high performance on the pitch. It is the result of several years of research into bio-based polymers and is specifically designed to meet the demands of both players and the environment.

✔️ Local collaboration

The project is a close collaboration between BIQ Materials, Limonta Sport Sweden, Stenungsund Municipality and Vallens IF. By involving both the municipality and the association, long-term value is created - not only for today's players, but for future generations.

✔️ Environment and game quality in balance

The new system combines sustainability, safety and game experience. It means less microplastics, better drainage and a playing experience that matches - or exceeds - traditional artificial turf systems.
